BENEFITS OF MILD HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY MAY INCLUDE:

What to Expect During Your Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Session

Our Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHbOT) is a relaxing, non-invasive 60 minute therapy session to support wound healing, inflammation, immunity, chronic fatigue and sleep.

If it’s your first time visiting Living Balance Wellness, please arrive early to fill out a simple medical questionnaire. Once cleared for for your therapy session, you will then proceed to the mHbOT chamber. In this cozy environment, you can comfortably sit up and work or lie down and relax during your session. A therapist will help you place your nasal cannula and ensure you are comfortable with pillows and blankets before zipping the chamber up. As the chamber begins to pressurize, you may feel slight ear popping.

After approximately ten minutes, the chamber will be fully pressurized, and you can begin to breathe in 90-95% pure oxygen for an hour.  At the end of the time, the therapist will start de-pressurization, which takes approximately ten minutes. Throughout your session, a Living Balance Wellness expert will monitor you to ensure you’re comfortable.

Some clients report feeling more relaxed and rested immediately after their mHbOT session.

How Does Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Work?

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHbOT) is a modern medical therapy that helps enhance total well-being. It’s ideal for individuals looking to speed up recovery, enhance cognitive function and reduce inflammation.

This innovative therapy immerses individuals in a pressurized hyperbaric chamber where they can breathe 90-95% pure oxygen. This is a stark contrast to the mere 21% oxygen content of regular air. The pressurized mHbOT environment is higher than normal, which facilitates heightened oxygen absorption by the lungs. This opportunity for increased oxygen intake by the lungs is not only great for overall respiration but can also aid in healing damaged tissue, strengthening the immune system, stimulating skin cell growth, reducing fatigue and improving sleep and cognitive function.

Increased pressure allows for oxygen to dissolve and saturate more readily into our blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid and all liquids within our body (Henry’s Law of Gases).

Oxygen is the necessary requirement to make ATP, or energy for any process within the human body. It is the final electron accpetor in the Electron Transport Chain. As cells receive more oxygen through hyperbaric treatments, they create more energy, regenerating and strengthening, resolving many health conditions and complaints. Not only that, but it increases the flow of all bodily fluids, improving blood flow, cerebrospinal fluid flow, lymphatic flow (aiding in detoxification), stem cell activation within the brain and many other benefits.

This yields a wide variety of physiological, biochemical and cellular effects. This noninvasive therapy is the most trusted way to increase oxygen levels to all organs of the body.

It is shown to increase penetration of oxygen 400% deeper into our tissues and organs in comparison with our typical blood supply. Other incredible features of this treatment is that it reduces inflammation, destroys bacteria and increases white blood cell/stem cell production. Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) may aid in creationg substantial, expedited healing for acute and chronic Neurological conditions, Developmental Disorders (ADHD/Autism), Brain injury/Concussion, Autoimmune conditions, Lyme Disease, Migraines, Headaches, Musculoskeletal and athletic injuries, Athletic recovery, Post-surgical healing, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Wellness and more. Research has proven that treatment is cumaltive.

Single sessions are $110, with discounts for bookings of 5 and 10 sessions.
